As part of efforts to promote and develop the national aviation sector, the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) is continuing its work to diversify air transport options. Following an application by the Nigerian company Value Jet to operate air services in Gabon, an inspection mission was launched to verify the operator’s compliance with international standards.

From 15 to 16 January 2026, a delegation of inspectors from ANAC travelled to Lagos to conduct an audit of Value Jet’s operational base. The mission was aimed at assessing the implementation of the safety and quality standards required by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

The results of the verification were satisfactory, confirming Value Jet’s ability to meet the regulatory and technical requirements necessary to operate in Gabonese territory. This outcome paves the way for the upcoming arrival of a new airline in Gabonese skies, strengthening the country’s connectivity and offering travellers more choice.
