Alhaji Ahmad Abba has assumed office as Director, Aerodrome and Airspace Standards (DAAS) at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, following a ministerially endorsed redeployment.
Engr Godwin Balang, the former DAAS, has been reassigned as Director of the Directorate of Airworthiness Standards (DAWS). He succeeds Engr Victor Goyea, who has taken up the role of Director of Special Duties at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.
The handover took place on 24 December 2025 at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja, where Engr Balang briefed the incoming director on DAAS responsibilities, recent reforms and forward plans. Alhaji Abba, previously Director of Special Duties at NAMA, is committed to sustaining and building on existing achievements.
