The Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) has launched an open call for tender as part of its 2023–2027 Services and Equipment Plan. The call invites bids for the execution of civil engineering works required for the renewal of the VOR/DME (VHF Omnidirectional Range with Distance Measuring Equipment) at Garoua International Airport in Cameroon.
The scope of work includes site clearance, development, construction of a boundary wall and sentry box, base and anchor block construction, rehabilitation of shelters, and the supply of associated equipment. The project forms part of ASECNA’s wider strategy to modernise and improve air navigation infrastructure across the region.
Interested bidders may consult the tender documents via the ASECNA website (www.asecna.aero) or obtain additional information from the IGC Maintenance department of the ASECNA Representation in Cameroon, located at Douala International Airport. A non-refundable fee of 100,000 CFA Francs is required to acquire the tender documents in digital format.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for 10 July 2025 at 14:00 at Garoua International Airport. Bidders must submit sealed offers by 12:00 noon on 28 July 2025 to the ASECNA Representation in Cameroon. Submissions must include a bid guarantee of at least 2% of the total offer value. The bid validity period is set at 180 days from the date of submission.
Bid opening will take place at 14:00 on the same day in the conference room of the ASECNA Representation at Douala International Airport, in the presence of interested bidder representatives.
