Ethiopian Airlines Group has issued Bid Announcement No. SSNT-T 564, inviting qualified contractors in Category 1 General and Road (GC-1/RC-1) to participate in the Design-Build contract for the Jimma Airfield Reconstruction Project. The tender is open to both local and international bidders legally established in Ethiopia and holding valid documentation for the 2024–2025 fiscal year, including a renewed Trade License, Tax Clearance, VAT Registration and TIN certificate.
Interested bidders are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ETB 100 to the Ethiopian Airlines Group account at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, after which the tender documents will be provided by email. Each bidder must submit a bid security valued at ETB 500,000 in the form of a CPO or unconditional and irrevocable bank guarantee. Bids will remain valid for 150 calendar days following the opening date, with Ethiopian Airlines Group reserving the right to request extensions. The project works are expected to be completed within 300 calendar days from commencement.
Sealed submissions, consisting of a technical proposal, financial offer and bid security, must be delivered in properly marked envelopes to Ethiopian Airlines Strategic Sourcing Non-Technical section at Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, no later than 19 September 2025 at 3:00 PM. The bids will be opened the same day at 3:30 PM at Ethiopian Airlines Group head office in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
