Mauritania Airlines has set out its operational and maintenance priorities for 2026 through the publication of its Annual Procurement Plan, providing insight into the airline’s near-term technical and fleet support requirements.

The plan confirms a focus on engine availability and continued airworthiness across the carrier’s mixed fleet, including Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737 MAX and Embraer ERJ 175 aircraft. Planned actions include a short-term extension of a leased next-generation engine for a Boeing 737-800, scheduled airframe maintenance in the form of a 1C/3C check on a Boeing 737-700, and multiple procurements of engine parts covering both Boeing and Embraer platforms.

In addition to technical procurement, Mauritania Airlines has included the supervision of its Medina ground handling station as a service item within the 2026 plan, reflecting continued oversight of overseas operational support.

All activities are to be funded directly by the airline and will be executed through a combination of direct awards and supplier consultation procedures. The majority of procurement processes are scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2026, with contract awards expected between January and March.

While indicative in nature, the Annual Procurement Plan provides a clear signal of Mauritania Airlines’ intent to stabilise and support fleet operations through targeted engine leasing, maintenance activity and spare-parts acquisition during 2026, against a backdrop of ongoing operational consolidation and reliability improvements.
