The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has confirmed that the INC Ransomware Group exfiltrated approximately 500 GB of its data, detected on 6 March 2026, with the group indicating its intention to release the data on the dark web.
Investigations remain ongoing. Airport operations across all NAC-managed facilities continue to function normally.
As a precautionary measure, NAC is strengthening system security and monitoring, while engaging relevant authorities and cybersecurity partners to address the incident.
NAC stated that it is treating the matter seriously and reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, indicating that further updates will be provided as credible information becomes available.
