TAAG Implements Cost Control Measures

TAAG Angola Airlines introduces temporary cost control measures under its PALANCA restructuring programme to strengthen financial sustainability and operational efficiency.

On 27 February, TAAG – Angola Airlines issued a statement confirming that, within the scope of its PALANCA transformation and restructuring programme, temporary cost control and reduction measures are being implemented with immediate effect. The measures are intended to reinforce cost discipline and support the financial sustainability of the company by ensuring responsible use of resources.

The measures include the temporary suspension of external hiring and promotions, strict control of expenses and business travel, and temporary restrictions on customer incentives and the acquisition of goods and services. Operational safety, aircraft maintenance, and the availability of cabin and cockpit crew are not affected.

The actions are aimed at protecting TAAG’s financial results, promoting operational efficiency, and preparing the airline for a sustainable recovery in the medium to long term while maintaining the continuity and reliability of services for passengers and partners.
