Textron Aviation has confirmed a fleet purchase agreement with Aerolíneas Ejecutivas (ALE), Mexico’s leading business aviation operator, for up to 12 Cessna Citation business jets. The order includes a mix of Citation Latitude, Citation CJ3 Gen2, and Citation CJ3 Gen3 aircraft, which will be operated under ALE’s fractional ownership division, MexJet.

Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2026, with ALE set to receive four aircraft — two Citation Latitudes and two Citation CJ3 Gen2s — in the initial phase. The acquisition supports ALE’s growth strategy and underscores its longstanding relationship with the Cessna Citation line, which already includes Latitude and CJ3+ models in its fleet.

The CJ3 Gen2 and CJ3 Gen3 jets represent a new standard in the light jet category, featuring pilot-centric cockpit enhancements such as additional legroom and Garmin G3000 avionics with autothrottle. The cabins are designed for passenger comfort with features like swivel seating, RGB lighting, USB-C power at every seat, wireless charging, executive tables, and an externally serviceable lavatory with skylights and optional vanity.

The CJ3 Gen2 offers standard seating for nine and a maximum range of 2,040 nautical miles (3,778 km), while the CJ3 Gen3 introduces Garmin’s Emergency Autoland technology, further enhancing onboard safety.

Meanwhile, the Citation Latitude, positioned in the midsize jet segment, delivers a four-passenger range of 2,700 nautical miles (5,000 km) and excels with a short take-off field length of 3,580 feet (1,091 m). Its flat-floor cabin with a height of six feet (1.83 m) provides a spacious and refined flying environment.

This fleet expansion reinforces ALE’s market leadership and continued investment in safety, service, and advanced aircraft technologies.
