The World’s First PC-12 PRO Aeromedical Delivered to the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia Serial number 3010 has arrived in Australia as the first of five new Pilatus PC-12 PRO aircraft scheduled for delivery to the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) Central Operations.
The aircraft will form part of the organisation’s Central Operations fleet, supporting aeromedical missions across the central corridor of South Australia and the Northern Territory. The aircraft will be deployed to deliver medical services to remote communities across some of Australia’s most isolated regions.
The PC-12 PRO features a pressurised cabin of more than nine cubic metres, designed to accommodate patients, medical crew and advanced medical equipment. The aircraft is equipped with a large cargo door and lift system intended to support efficient patient loading and operational flexibility during aeromedical missions.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service stated that the PC-12 platform has demonstrated a strong safety record and operational reliability in diverse and demanding environments across Australia, ranging from southern regions to tropical areas in the north. The introduction of the new aircraft is expected to strengthen fleet reliability and support faster, safer and more efficient medical response operations.
Pilatus has confirmed that the new PC-12 PRO builds on the established legacy of the PC-12 platform, incorporating enhanced performance, updated avionics and expanded operational capability to support aeromedical operations.
