African Pilot Magazine goes behind the scenes with Simuflight’s Managing Director, Alfredo Schulz, and Project Manager, Chris Palfreyman, to discuss the development of their new PC-12 flight simulator. Manufactured in South Africa by Aviamech, the simulator is built using an actual PC-12 cockpit frame to provide pilots with a realistic training environment.
This project has been years in the making, with a strong focus on accuracy in avionics, controls, and training systems. The simulator is expected to be operational by Q3 2025, with Civil Aviation Authority certification planned for mid-year.
Key Milestones:
- March 2025 – Assembly completion
- Q2 2025 – Software integration and CAA evaluation
- Q3 2025 – Entry into service
Join us as we explore the process behind the making of this #PC12Simulator training tool and what it means for pilot development. Stay tuned as we follow its progress!
