Africa’s Leading Aerospace and Defence Exhibition Returns in 2026

The Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Exhibition 2026 is set to take place from 16–20 September 2026 at Air Force Base Waterkloof in Centurion, City of Tshwane, South Africa. As the only aerospace and defence exhibition on the African continent, AAD 2026 continues to offer an unmatched platform for showcasing innovation, technology, and collaboration across the global aviation, defence, and security sectors.

Held every two years, AAD has become a cornerstone event for the industry — attracting senior government officials, military leaders, global manufacturers, and key decision-makers. With over 259 exhibitors from more than 30 countries in 2024, the exhibition provides a broad view of defence and aerospace developments, from cutting-edge aircraft and military vehicles to unmanned systems, cyber technologies, and tactical gear.

The format spans five days, with the first three focused on trade engagement, high-level meetings, and business development. The final two days are open to the public, drawing thousands of visitors to the air show and exhibition.

AAD also offers interactive experiences aimed at sparking curiosity and supporting skills development through its renowned Youth Development Programme (YDP). As an integral part of AAD, the YDP seeks to raise awareness about career opportunities within the defence and aviation sectors. It provides a dynamic platform for young people to engage with industry professionals and explore bursary opportunities and encourages the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, Aviation, and Mathematics (STEAM).

During the previous edition of AAD, the YDP reached over 11,000 learners — reflecting a growing interest among South African youth in discovering the exciting career paths available in these critical sectors.

AAD is not just a trade show — it is a hub for strategic partnerships, policy dialogue, and innovation. It serves as a gateway into Africa’s defence and aviation markets, offering participants the opportunity to engage with stakeholders operating in some of the world’s most unique environments.

Whether you are a defence contractor, industry technology innovator, or looking to enter new markets, AAD 2026 offers a powerful platform to connect, collaborate, and showcase to a global audience.
