Air Senegal has reached an important milestone in its operational journey, securing recognition on the global stage as it continues to strengthen its position as West Africa’s flagship carrier.
The national flag carrier Air Senegal is proud to announce that it has obtained IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification.
This certification, issued by IATA (International Air Transport Association), is a quality label awarded to airlines after an audit covering 1,057 control points in eight main areas: quality management systems and safety, including the organisation of the company, aircraft maintenance, flight operations including the training of technical and cabin crews, ground operations including cargo, the flight operations control centre, and security.
This guarantee of quality and safety will allow Air Senegal to benefit from numerous commercial and marketing advantages, such as:
- strengthening the security and safety of operations
- improving the quality of service
- recognition of airlines
- interline development with other international companies and/or alliances
- commercial agreements (interline, codeshare, etc.) with airlines and international organisations through corporate contracts
- the possibility of becoming a member of the IATA organisation (a guarantee of credibility)
- the reduction of the insurance premium
