The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) National Convention, in partnership with the Aero Club of South Africa’s AirWeek, is set to take place from 6–9 March 2025 at Middelburg Airfield, Mpumalanga. This much-anticipated event, which has been a staple of the South African aviation calendar since 1969, is expected to bring together aviation enthusiasts, pilots, aircraft owners, and industry professionals for a celebration of General Aviation.
Often referred to as “Oshkosh in Africa”, the EAA National Convention showcases a diverse range of aircraft and aviation disciplines. From homebuilt aircraft, warbirds, and ultralights to gliders, helicopters, gyrocopters, parachuting, and even powered paragliders, visitors can expect to experience the full spectrum of General Aviation at a single event.
