Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Civil Aviation Authority and the Central Department of Aviation Accidents at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The agreement, signed by Pilot Amr El-Sharkawy, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, and Pilot Ramy Mansour, Head of the Central Department of Aviation Accidents, aims to enhance coordination, exchange technical expertise, and strengthen the overall aviation safety framework in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and the Chicago Convention of 1944.
Minister El-Hefny stated that the initiative forms part of the Ministry’s strategy to align the Egyptian civil aviation system with global best practices. He emphasised that aviation safety remains a national priority and a key element in maintaining confidence in the air transport sector. The Minister added that the protocol supports institutional integration, capacity building, and the continued development of technical personnel to ensure efficiency and compliance with international requirements.
He concluded that the agreement represents a step forward in achieving a safe, sustainable aviation system that reflects Egypt’s leading position in global civil aviation.
