On Friday, 11 April 2025, at 4:10 p.m., a Hawker XP800 aircraft (registration CN-TKC) operated by Moroccan airline Air Océan overran the runway while landing at Fès-Saïss Airport after arriving from Marrakech. The aircraft struck the airport’s perimeter wall, causing substantial damage. All three crew members and one person on the ground were injured and taken to a specialised clinic in Fez for treatment.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics has launched an investigation through the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation and Analysis Bureau (BEA) to determine the cause of the accident. Safety remains a priority, and updates will be provided as the investigation continues.

The official statement from Air Ocean Maroc reads as follows:
On April 11, one of Air Ocean Maroc’s aircraft was involved in a runway excursion during landing at Fes Airport.
The aircraft involved, a Hawker 800 private jet, landed safely but, for reasons currently under investigation, was unable to come to a full stop on the runway and continued until it came into contact with the airport’s perimeter fence.
As a precautionary measure, the crew, comprising two of the most highly experienced pilots and a flight attendant, were transported to the hospital for medical assessment. We are relieved to confirm that all crew members are safe, in stable condition, and have since returned home. No passengers were on board.
An official investigation is ongoing in close coordination with local authorities to determine the precise cause. At this point, no mechanical fault has been confirmed.
Regrettably, some media outlets inaccurately described the event as a “crash,” causing unnecessary alarm, concern and misinformation. We wish to emphasize that this was not a crash, and such claims are factually incorrect. We respectfully urge our media partners to report responsibly and accurately.
We would like to reassure our clients, partners, and the public that Air Ocean Maroc remains fully operational. All scheduled flights are continuing as planned, and we remain firmly committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and service.
We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available and as the investigation progresses. We thank our clients, partners, and the aviation community for their continued trust and support.
