On 24 June, Absolute Aviation announced that they have signed an MOA to acquire a stake in Century Avionics, a respected leader in avionics sales, installations, and support services in Southern Africa. This strategic investment marks another step in Absolute Aviation’s commitment to providing comprehensive, integrated aviation solutions across the continent.
Century Avionics, with its head office based at Lanseria International Airport, has built an exceptional reputation over the past 47 years as a trusted provider of advanced avionics solutions for general, business, and commercial aviation. With this expansion, Absolute Aviation seeks to complement its existing aircraft sales, support, and maintenance capabilities with Century’s specialist avionics expertise.
Importantly, the current shareholders and leadership team of Century Avionics will remain fully involved in the business, continuing in their existing roles and responsibilities. Century Avionics will retain its identity and operate as an independent company within the Absolute Aviation Group, ensuring continuity for customers, suppliers, and staff.
“This partnership aligns perfectly with our strategy to offer a complete aviation solution across the lifecycle of aircraft ownership,” said Neil Howard, CEO of Absolute Aviation. “We have long admired the professionalism and technical excellence of Century Avionics, and we are excited to welcome them to this closer alliance within the Absolute family.”
Century Avionics added: “Having achieved excellent growth and success over the years, we were actively looking for a strategic partner to help us realise our broader expansion ambitions. We have observed the impressive growth of Absolute Aviation and felt that their vision, reach, and values make them an ideal partner for Century Avionics. This partnership also builds on and deepens the strong relationship we have developed with Absolute over the last 8 years, particularly in Botswana”.
Both companies look forward to leveraging their combined strengths to deliver even greater value to their customers while preserving the integrity and legacy of the Century Avionics brand.
