The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority has released an Advisory Circular providing guidance to aerodrome operators and property developers or owners on the lighting and marking of obstacles at, and in the vicinity of, aerodromes in order to ensure compliance with the Civil Aviation Aerodromes Regulations, 2013.
Developers, owners and aerodrome operators are required to install obstacle lighting at designated points to enable clear identification and enhance the safety of aircraft operations. Implementation must be completed within 30 days.
