Diani, one of Kenya’s leading coastal destinations, continues to draw increasing numbers of domestic and international travellers. In response to this growing demand, the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has initiated plans to construct a new passenger terminal at Ukunda Airstrip, aimed at enhancing service delivery and improving the overall travel experience.
The project, listed under Tender No. KAA/OT/UKUNDA/0169/2024-2025, will involve the construction of a modern terminal building along with all associated civil, electrical, and mechanical works. Located in Kwale County, the development reflects both the strategic importance of Diani within Kenya’s tourism landscape and the need to support regional economic growth through upgraded infrastructure.
