Qatar Airways Increases African Frequencies in New Winter Schedule

Qatar Airways increases its Africa network to 35 weekly flights this winter, with more services to Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Casablanca via Doha.

Qatar Airways has announced its global winter schedule, which includes a notable increase in flights to key African destinations. The airline now operates 35 weekly flights to the continent, reflecting growing demand across its African network.

Increased Frequencies to Africa

As part of the updated schedule:

  1. Cape Town has increased from 10 to up to 12 weekly flights
  2. Johannesburg has increased from 14 to 18 weekly flights
  3. Casablanca has increased from four to five weekly flights

These changes form part of a wider global adjustment, with the airline increasing frequencies to over 15 destinations worldwide.

Qatar Airways continues to use its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport to offer broader connectivity, with the enhanced African services expected to support both business and leisure travel.

The airline has been recognised as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025 for a record ninth time.
