Tanzania Invites Air Service and Ground Handling Licence Applications

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) has invited applications for Air Services Licences and Ground Handling Services Licences ahead of a Licensing Board meeting tentatively planned for 6 November 2026.

The invitation covers new applicants, operators whose licences are due for renewal in November or December 2026 and existing operators seeking variations to their licences.

Applications are to be submitted through the Civil Aviation Services Portal (CASP) for consideration by the Licensing Board.

Renewals of Air Services Licences must comply with Regulations 8(3), 25(3) and 25(6) of the Tanzania Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air Services) Regulations, 2006. New Air Services Licence applications are subject to Regulations 8(2) and 8(3) of the same regulations.

Applications for new or renewed Ground Handling Services Licences must comply with Regulations 6 and 7 of the Civil Aviation (Ground Handling Services) Regulations, 2012.

TCAA said copies of the applicable regulations are available from its headquarters at Aviation House, Ukonga-Banana, or through the Authority’s website. Application forms are available through CASP.

All applications, together with the required supporting documentation, must be submitted through the CASP system by 30 September 2026.
