FuelCo’s Mobile Aviation Refuelling Solutions for Africa

At Aero South Africa 2025, African Pilot’s Kent Gibbon speaks with Darren van Niekerk, Director at FuelCo, about the company’s innovative mobile aviation fuelling systems designed for African conditions.

FuelCo, an Australian-based company with a growing South African presence, manufactures self-bunded, above-ground fuel storage and handling systems ideal for rapid deployment in remote locations. Darren showcases their 905-litre aviation trailer and a larger 10,400-litre LTAV tank—both compliant with international standards such as JIG 4—tailored for small aircraft, helicopters, and regional aviation operations where infrastructure is limited.

From 12V overwing pump kits to scalable storage up to 64,000 litres, FuelCo delivers reliable, fast, and flexible fuelling solutions for airstrips across the continent.
