Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has temporarily suspended all new and active procurement activities with immediate effect and until further notice.
The suspension applies across the procurement cycle where a procurement contract has not yet been formally concluded, irrespective of the procurement method being used or the stage reached in the process.
According to a public notice issued by NAC on 21 September 2026, the suspension includes advertisements, invitations for bids, expressions of interest, bid evaluations, adjudications and direct procurement processes.
All affected active invitations for bids have consequently been cancelled, with bidders no longer required to make submissions. Bids that have already closed but have not yet been adjudicated have been placed on hold.
NAC said the measure is temporary. Existing contracts and agreements that have been duly executed are unaffected and will continue to be administered according to their respective terms and conditions.
Further information on the resumption of procurement activities, invitations for bids and expressions of interest will be communicated through NAC’s official communication channels.
