Sonatrach Delivers First Jet A1 Under Sale and Purchase Contract with Sonidep

Sonatrach has begun deliveries of Jet A1 aviation fuel to Niger under an export contract concluded with Nigerien public company Sonidep.

The first deliveries took place on 15 August 2026, with the fuel supplied from Sonatrach’s Adrar refinery, identified as RA1D, to the Nigerien market.

The deliveries follow the signing of a Jet A1 export contract between Sonatrach and Sonidep and represent the start of supply under the agreement.

Sonatrach said the transaction formed part of efforts to strengthen commercial relations between Algeria and Niger and expand direct cooperation with African oil and gas companies, including those in the Sahel region.

The Algerian company also indicated that the cooperation could support regular supplies of Algerian petroleum products to other countries in the region.
