Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola is proud to welcome TAAG Angola Airlines, Angola’s national airline, as an official Race Partner for the E1 Luanda GP, taking place from 11–13 September 2026.
The partnership brings one of Angola’s most recognisable national brands into the Team for a landmark weekend, as the UIM E1 World Championship races in the country for the first time and Westbrook Racing prepares for its first home race as Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola.
As Angola’s national airline, TAAG provides a natural connection to the Team’s first race in Luanda. Westbrook Racing will travel with TAAG to and from Angola, extending the partnership from the journey to the race itself, where the TAAG brand will feature prominently on the wings of the Team’s RaceBird throughout the weekend.
The collaboration creates a strong link between TAAG, Westbrook Racing and title partner Visit Angola. Together, the three brands will use the international stage of E1 to present a contemporary image of Angola through travel, sport and entertainment, while creating opportunities for content and engagement around the Team’s journey and race experience.
For TAAG, the race also provides an opportunity to bring its purpose, “We make dreams fly”, into a new sporting environment. The airline’s ambition to connect people and opportunities, invite the world to discover Angola and Africa, and represent the country internationally closely complements the significance of bringing a global championship to Luanda.
Phil Allen, Team Principal of Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola, said: “We are very proud to welcome TAAG to Westbrook Racing for our first race in Angola. This is an important weekend for the Team and our partnership with Visit Angola, and working with the country’s national airline is a natural extension of that relationship. Together, we have an opportunity to use the international platform of E1 to showcase the energy and ambition of Angola and contribute to what promises to be a very special race in Luanda.”
Miguel Carneiro, CEO at TAAG Angola Airlines: “The arrival of E1 in Luanda is an opportunity to show the energy and ambition of Angola to an international audience. As the national airline, TAAG is proud to welcome Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola and to be part of their journey to our country. This partnership reflects what TAAG stands for: connecting people, creating opportunities and inviting the world to discover Angola. We look forward to seeing the TAAG name racing on the water in Luanda and to sharing this special moment with the Team and our country.”

The Luanda weekend represents an important milestone in Westbrook Racing’s relationship with Angola. The Team’s partnership with Visit Angola was announced during Team Owner Will Smith’s visit to the country in March 2026, and since the second race of the season the Team has competed under the Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola identity.
Six months later, the Team will arrive in Luanda to race in front of Angolan fans, partners and stakeholders for the first time, with Sara Price and Lucas Ordóñez representing Westbrook Racing on the water.
