Jonas highlighted Swissport Tanzania’s operations at Julius Nyerere International Airport and Kilimanjaro International Airport and said the company remained committed to service standards, safety and regulatory compliance.

He also said Swissport Tanzania had recently completed its recertification as an IATA member and continued to maintain compliance with TCAA requirements and the accreditations required for its ground handling and other approved aviation services.

Bakari congratulated the company on its continued compliance and service delivery and said TCAA would continue to ensure aviation operators were equipped and kept informed of emerging regulatory requirements and industry developments.

He also briefed Jonas on the Civil Aviation Services Portal, which has been introduced as the platform for accessing TCAA regulatory services and conducting related business processes digitally.

Bakari encouraged Swissport Tanzania to use the platform and said its adoption would simplify processes, improve efficiency and support service delivery. He also referred to TCAA’s newly established Helpdesk and encouraged the company to make use of it.

According to Bakari, strengthening digital data management and service delivery is aligned with Tanzania’s Vision 2050, which places emphasis on digital transformation and the wider use of technology across sectors.
