Kenya Advances Development of Itembe Airstrip in Bomet

Once completed, the upgraded airstrip is expected to improve access to Bomet County and the surrounding region, while supporting tourism, trade, investment and other economic activities.

Ruto was received at the airstrip by Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Davis Chirchir, Kenya Airports Authority Managing Director Moses Wekesa and General Manager Engineering and Projects Eng. Meshack Ochieng, together with other government officials.

The Itembe Airstrip development forms part of Kenya's wider programme to expand and modernise aviation infrastructure and improve air connectivity to regional communities.
